The aging singer Karl-Heinz Sollheim (Christoph M. Ohrt) has a simple formula for success: Always remain authentic! He has long regretted that after his only hit, "Unter der Sonne", he decided to start a career as a pop star instead of his beloved country music. In order to get out of the career slump, Kalle inevitably accepts a promotional idea from his manager, who is giving away an evening with him at the campsite on the radio. So he finally ends up on the ailing Baltic Sea campsite of Desiree (Diana Amft), who is on the verge of bankruptcy and is also hoping for a miracle.

Schumann (Christian Berkel) gives first aid to an old man who collapsed on a bridge. In vain. Everything looks like a natural death. But during the autopsy it becomes clear: Johannes Lombardi (Jens Weisser) was poisoned. The former West Berlin building contractor had suffered from advanced dementia for several years and lived in a nursing home nearby.
