In the market hall in Saint-Malo, Commissioner Dupin (Pasquale Aleardi) witnesses how top restaurateur Blanche Trouin (Franziska Junge) is stabbed by her sister Lucille (Nadja Becker). Lucille flees headlong, but is caught and arrested by Dupin. Since then she has remained silent. Dupin, who is always interested in understanding the background to an act, is faced with a riddle. He realizes it’s not a cold-blooded planned murder, but why doesn’t Lucille try to defend himself?

Some time has passed since the magical group “The Four Horsemen” gave their audience an unexpected windfall after their last performance and went into hiding. Now they return with a big bang and a new member. The illusionists are asked by an industrial giant to steal a spy chip from a high-security bunker.

Fritzie (Tanja Wedhorn) struggles with her changed body. She no longer feels feminine and avoids physical proximity to Stefan. But Melanie (Anna Herrmann) gives Fritzie the idea to try new things. Lost in her worries, Fritzie exposes the new student Bibi (Amelie-Sierah Trieba) in front of the whole class: She makes it clear that Bibi will need financial support for the class trip. Grist on the mills of Luna (Marlene Burow), who Bibi suspects of stealing her sneakers.

Despite Corona, the trained chef Kahraman Celik and his son Erdem will open their first restaurant in the middle of Pfullendorf’s city center in June 2020, thus fulfilling his lifelong dream. The 17-year-old student Julia (Mala Emde) appears at the police station and accuses her brother of murdering her classmate Maria. The next morning, Maria’s body is actually retrieved from the fjord. The investigator duo Klaus Borowski (Axel Milberg) and Sarah Brandt (Sibel Kekilli) find clues as to why Julia’s brother may have committed the crime, but the inspectors cannot explain Julia’s betrayal. Only when they discover that she has secretly converted to Islam does light seem to slowly come into the darkness.
