Stefan Raab will not be leading the show, but his cult format “TV total” is returning to German television.

“TV total” was a fixture in German television entertainment for around 16 years, until the format of all-round talent Stefan Raab (55) flickered regularly across the screens for the last time in 2015. The show will celebrate its surprising comeback on November 10th. ProSieben announced this on Monday.

However, Raab will no longer lead through the format. Instead, cabaret artist and entertainer Sebastian Pufpaff (45) will moderate. Stefan Raab is supposed to be involved in the show as a producer.

Not everything is new

The Heavytones, the show band that accompanied Raab back then, will also support Pufpaff. The “nipples”, through which the former presenter could play funny excerpts from his table, will also be there again.

It had previously been reported that Pufpaff could start with a comeback of the show later this year. A weekly broadcast is currently planned on Wednesdays. The first episode can be seen on November 10th from 8:15 p.m.

While the “TV total” original initially ran once a week, the show was soon to be seen four times a week as a rule. Should Pufpaff do well with the new version of the program in terms of quota, there is probably nothing to prevent the new edition from being broadcast even more frequently.
