Tweetdeck paid tool is free with this trick

X Pro, the paid tool Tweetdeck from the social network X (Twitter), can become free thanks to a trick revealed on the platform owned by Elon Musk. For this, you will only need Google Chrome and the browser developer tool. We explain everything in detail in the rest of the article.

Since the takeover of Twitter by Elon Musk in the fall of 2022, the South African billionaire has disrupted the habits of social network users in barely a year.

During this summer of 2023, the platform controlled by Elon Musk renamed Twitter to X and ended the free Tweetdeck service. Became X Pro, the paid Tweetdeck tool features a full tweets editor, advanced search options, various column types and decks.

X Pro (ex-Tweetdeck): the paid service becomes a free tool with Chrome

To circumvent the paid solution of X Pro, there is a fairly simple technique and it is the user @Eramdam who revealed his trick. In a video capture posted on X (Twitter), the French engineer based in California used Google Chrome and especially the browser development tool.

For use X Pro for freesimply :

1. Open a new Chrome browser tab
2. Go to http://twitter.com/
3. Right-click on the Twitter page
4. Select ‘Inspect’
5. Click on the Console box from the development tool
6. Copy and paste the following text starting with document.cookie (see tweet above)
7. Press the Enter key on the keyboard
8. Go to https://tweetdeck.twitter.com/ without opening a new tab
9. Close the developer tool

At the end of these steps, you can thus temporarily take advantage of the functionalities of the paid X Pro service without paying 9.60 euros per month (or 100.80 euros for 1 year), an amount which corresponds to the monthly subscription or annual XBlue.

Finally, it is advisable not to close the web page of the service to benefit from the advantages of X Pro. Otherwise, it is preferable to reproduce the steps mentioned above.
