Edward and Bella are set to return in the TV series
The “Twilight” novels by Stephanie Meyer are to be re-adapted as a series.

Vampire Edward and Bella may be returning in a series soon: A re-adaptation of the “Twilight” novels is in the works.
In November 2012, “Breaking Dawn – Biss zum Ende der Nacht, Teil 2” concluded the extremely successful “Twilight” film series. Now the industry magazine “The Hollywood Reporter” is reporting on a planned series project, in which vampire Edward and his Bella may return. Accordingly, a TV series based on the “Twilight” novels is said to be in an early stage of development at Lionsgate Television. A streaming home for the still untitled series project has not yet been determined, nor has the cast.
“Twilight” series is developed
Only author Sinead Daly (“Raised by Wolves”) and executive producers Wyck Godfrey and Erik Feig are said to be currently working on the potential “Twilight” series. Screenwriter Daly will first work out “the special approach” of the adaptation. Template author Stephanie Meyer (49), who wrote the four original “Twilight” novels, is said to be involved in the series project.
The “Twilight” film series grossed over US$3.4 billion at the worldwide box office between 2008 and 2012. She made global superstars out of the leading actors Robert Pattinson (36) and Kristen Stewart (33). After the end of the film franchise, original author Meyer wrote the two novels “Life and Death: Twilight Reimagined” (2015) and “Midnight Sun” (2020), each opening up new perspectives on the story of Edward and Bella.
Young-adult novel series become TV series
Just a week ago it became known that the streaming service Max (formerly HBO Max) was working on a “Harry Potter” series that was to adapt the book series of the same name by author JK Rowling (57). The “Twilight” series that has now become public will possibly follow a very similar path.
