Deserts of Kharak is a prequel to the Homeworld 1 & 2 games that we don’t even present to strategy game fans anymore. The title was also developed by veterans of the franchise who also cut their teeth on the Company of Heroes license, which is also well known and appreciated by players.
Released in 2016, Deserts of Kharak quickly took hold and players obviously loved it, as did the press. The title gets away with a pretty Metacritic score of almost 80 and a very nice 8 on the player side for more than 200 reviews. Not bad at all then. The game puts us in command of several different units and will ask us to explore rather harsh lands following the fate of Rachel, a well-known protagonist of the franchise.
