Two injured – Alkolenker crashed into the front man on the A12

A trip on the Tyrolean A12 Inntal autobahn near Zirl (Innsbruck-Land district) ended for a young man and a young woman in the hospital on Sunday night. A drunk 41-year-old had hit the car of the two and had caused an accident.

The collision happened around 4 a.m. on Sunday. Coming from Innsbruck, a 19-year-old local was heading west, with a 20-year-old in the passenger seat. A 41-year-old Bosnian drove behind the car. For reasons that are not yet known, it crashed into the rear of the front car in the municipality of Zirl. Both vehicles then skidded and came to a standstill on the hard shoulder. The 19-year-old and his passenger were injured in the accident. After being treated by the emergency doctor, they were taken to the hospital in Zams. The 41-year-old who caused the accident was not injured. After the officials carried out a positive alcohol test with him, however, the man lost his driver’s license for the time being.
