On Saturday evening, the fire brigade and rescue team in Großgmain had plenty to do: A fire in the room was likely to have developed from a fireplace – when the emergency services arrived, the room was already on fire.
The volunteer fire brigades Großgmain and Bayerisch Gmain were able to quickly bring the fire under control. Two people were brought to the hospital with suspected smoke poisoning.
