iRobot announces the availability in France of two new robot vacuum cleaners, namely the Roomba i5 and i5+. Devices that can be controlled remotely, in particular via a voice assistant.
Two new robot vacuum cleaners will land in France, these are the Roomba i5 and i5+ models from the iRobot brand.
Smart robot vacuum cleaners
iRobot recalls that the i5 and i5+ have the Smart Mapping function, which allows you to create a ” smart card in order to send them to clean certain rooms in particular, even via a voice assistant. Also, the base of the Roomba i5+ model “holds up to 60 days of storage» ; it contains a bag in which the vacuum cleaner can be emptied. This makes it possible not to empty it each time it is cleaned. A base to which the vacuum cleaner can automatically return to also recharge (the i5 also has this function).
The suction of this i5 series which is 10 times more powerful than the Roomba 600 series. iRobot also announces that the iRobot i5/i5+ can be paired with the Braava jet m6 floor mopping robot when it can start cleaning once Roomba has finished vacuuming.
Start the vacuum cleaner with your voice
iRobot allows both of these robot vacuums to launch via a voice assistant, namely Google Assistant, Alexa or Siri. These devices can offer personalized schedules and suggested times for cleaning. You can actually create programs to clean certain rooms at certain times or simply do it on demand, whether you are at home or not.

Software that can make sure it cleans while bypassing furniture, for example, all thanks to sensors, which can tell the vacuum cleaner where it can’t go. The i5 series also incorporates dirt sensors that allow these robot vacuums to know where to insist on suction.
