A 15-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy who were traveling together on a scooter on a lane reserved for buses and unregistered two-wheelers were hit by a private ambulance which was going to intervene.
The driver of the private ambulance who accidentally hit and killed two minors who were riding a scooter on Monday in Lyon is known to have committed multiple traffic violations, the prosecution said on Tuesday. The man, currently in police custody to “determine the exact circumstances” of the accident, is “known to have committed several traffic offenses punishable by fixed fines, loss of points on the driving license and suspension of his driving licence”, detailed the parquet floor of Lyon. However, he pointed out, he “had a valid driver’s license”, although it had “no more than 2 points out of 8”.
