It’s time again to enjoy the latest games available on Xbox Game Pass. Especially since there are really some gems to discover. With two very different games.
The month of February 2024 is already coming to an end, and it’s time to experience one of the latest waves of games available for free to Xbox Game Pass subscribers. For this February 27, 2024, we can discover a total of two games. The good surprise is that they are really and totally different. Enough to vary the pleasures between a good dose of sport and gory action. In short, there is no point in keeping the suspense any longer.
Sports and gore on Xbox Game Pass
The first game to discover on Xbox Game Pass is Madden NFL 24, the new episode of the famous American football franchise. Madden NFL 24 introduced several new features and improvements compared to its predecessors. The game’s Franchise mode sees the return of mini-games for the first time since Madden NFL 12, exclusively on next-gen consoles. It also proposes an increase in the number of trade locations, more cities and new uniforms for relocation, as well as an improvement to the free agency and draft system. Superstar Mode is also back, offering a distinct experience for offline players, called The League, and for online players, called Showdown. For the record, it is Josh Allen, the quarterback of the Buffalo Bills, who was chosen as the cover athlete for this edition. An entire program.
Jaws, or almost
The second game on Xbox Game Pass is Maneater. We had the opportunity to test it on Gameblog at the time. Maneater is a one-of-a-kind action-adventure game developed by Tripwire Interactive. In this game, players take on the role of a bull shark, starting their adventure as a small shark and evolving into a fearsome predator of the seas. The game takes place in the coastal waters of an open world, offering a vast play area filled with secrets to discover, enemy predators to face, and various missions to complete.
Maneater’s gameplay focuses on shark exploration, hunting, and evolution. By consuming marine wildlife, humans, and completing specific goals, the shark gains nutrients that can be used to enhance its abilities, such as speed, strength, and special abilities. The game also incorporates narrative elements, telling the shark’s story through the eyes of a documentary film crew, adding a humorous touch to the experience. At the time we gave it a score of 6/10 but with the many improvements since then, it’s well worth the detour. A good pick of Xbox Game Pass.
