It’s time again to discover what’s new on Xbox Game Pass. This time, we find real treasures, notably with two games with very distinct styles.
It’s time to venture into the new features offered to Xbox Game Pass subscribers, this time as of March 13, 2024. Two distinct games are in the spotlight, promising welcome diversity. We enjoy a unique combination of platform game and action adventure. So, without further ado, let’s dive into these different worlds. In particular, we find a remarkable nugget that it would be a shame to miss and that you absolutely must have tried at least once in your life.
Adventure on Xbox Game Pass
The first game on Xbox Game Pass is SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated. Behind this long name hides a remastered version of the original game released in 2003. In this colorful and humorous adventure, players can play as SpongeBob, Patrick and Sandy as they try to save Bikini Bottom from the invasion of evil robots created by the perfidious Plankton. The goal is to recover the golden spatulas and thwart the plans of Plankton who hopes to steal the secret recipe for the Krabby Patty.
The game stands out for its improved graphics, which provide a more vivid and detailed experience than the original. Players can explore different iconic locations from the series, such as Jellyfish Fields, Goo Lagoon, and Crispy Crab. Each character has unique abilities: SpongeBob can use his bubbles in different ways, Patrick can carry and throw objects, and Sandy can swing with his lasso. Besides the main story mode, the game features a multiplayer mode where Players can take on waves of robots cooperatively. In short, pretty good.
Take control
The other game on Xbox Game Pass is… Control! Control Ultimate Edition is an action-adventure video game developed by Remedy Entertainment. This title combines third-person shooter elements with supernatural powers. Players take on the role of Jesse Faden, the new director of the Federal Bureau of Control (FBC), a secret government agency that studies paranormal phenomena and combats supernatural threats.
The story takes place in the Office Building, a constantly shape-changing skyscraper in New York City known as the Wanderer’s House. Jesse searches for answers about her past and the strange circumstances surrounding her appointment as headmistress. While exploring the building, she discovers telekinetic powers.
Control Ultimate Edition includes the base game as well as two expansions, The Foundation and AWE, which add new missions, new environments, and expand the story and world of Control.
