LEGO continues to amaze, proving that almost anything is possible. In this vein, new sets have just been shown. There’s something very heavy on the agenda.
LEGO Ideas is a platform for LEGO enthusiasts to submit their own LEGO set designs. A user designs a LEGO set and presents it on the LEGO Ideas site. This proposal should include photos of the model, a description of the set and why it would be a great LEGO product. For projects inspired by existing franchises, obtaining authorization from the rights holders is essential. With this in mind, we can discover upcoming sets on famous franchises. After Twilight and Kaamelott, it’s madness.
LEGO hits hard again
There’s something for everyone, both movie lovers and fans of classic and traditional RPGs. Thus, pTo celebrate the 50th anniversary of Dungeons & Dragons, a set will be released in April 2024. It bears the sweet name “Dragons Keep: Journey’s End” and will contain 3745 pieces and will be the second largest and most expensive of the Ideas sets with a price of 359.99 dollars. This set is quite impressive, as you can see below. It includes a dungeon, a dragon (the franchise has never lived up to its name so well) and several adventurers. Thus, it will be possible to create different scenes according to your desires.
Very cult
Big surprise, we also find a cult film scene! More precisely the one in the film Jaws. This scene takes place aboard the Orca, a small fishing boat. We find the three main characters, namely:
- Martin Brody : the police chief of Amity Island, played by Roy Scheider.
- Quint : an experienced and gruff shark fisherman, played by Robert Shaw. Quint is hired to kill the shark.
- Matt Hooper : the young oceanographer and shark expert, played by Richard Dreyfuss. Hooper brings.
The boat scene is intense and surely one of the most famous in cinema history. The three men go to sea to track down the great white shark which is terrorizing the island. They share moments of camaraderie, but also of conflict, especially between Quint and Hooper, who have very different approaches to shark hunting. The scene culminates with the dramatic confrontation with the shark. Creature which is also present in the set as you can see.
This is the first time that we have the right to a LEGO set on this great cinema classic. We can already imagine a beautiful diorama with resin to make sea water. Especially if you are a bit of a handyman.
