Between monuments, squares, bridges and fountains, street art has become a must in the capital. The streets of Paris are full of more grandiose works than the other and two of them are among the 100 most beautiful creations of urban art in the world.
Paris is an open-air museum. Indeed, the city has established itself as one of the world capitals of street-art with artists such as Ernest Pignon-Ernest, Blek le Rat or Invader, until becoming a reference.
In its ranking of the 100 most beautiful works of urban art, the Street Art Cities application – which lists mural works in the world’s public space – has thus included two Parisian creations.
The first is a work created by two street artists, Escif and Axel Void, in tribute to the Argentinian artist Tamara Paul Giuverich, known as Hyuro. A conductor now adorns the wall of social housing in the heart of the Belleville district (20th arrondissement).
The second creation featured in the Street Art Cities ranking, was designed by Vinie Graffiti, an artist from Toulouse. Exhibited on a wall of the Nordmann school in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, the work was baptized “The freedom to dream” by the schoolchildren.
