The two women have filed a complaint and fear that their former partner has made other victims. The man in question has known for at least five years that he is HIV-positive.
A “serial contaminator”? Two women, who live in Île-de-France, claim that the same man, a former companion, would have knowingly transmitted HIV to them, reports a daily article 20 minutes. Marie and Sonia – whose first names have been changed – have both filed a complaint against the man in question and fear that their former partner has caused other victims. As part of the investigation, at least five other women were also questioned by the police. “He is a salesman who travels all over France, he must have had many victims”, says Sonia.
The young woman filed a first complaint in 2017 when she discovered her HIV status. At that time, his 34-year-old partner plays down the diagnosis and “make sure he’s clean”. Sonia, she is convinced that this is what “manipulator” who deliberately infected her. “I had to insist that he put on a condom. Sometimes he took it off in the middle of the action”, she says. La Francilienne is filing a complaint again in 2020.
“I wanted to fuck myself up”
Marie, for her part, fell under the spell of the 30-something in the summer of 2020. “confidence”, she agrees to have unprotected sex with this man. “He was not at all suspect”, says the mother of two children. Except thatin September 2020 Marie begins to have symptoms: she too has HIV. “I wanted to fuck myself up”, says the young woman. Contrary to what he said to these two victims, the man has been aware of his HIV status at least since a test dating from 2017. The alleged culprit, who was remanded in custody, does not acknowledge the facts, but does not deny them either.
