On Friday February 3, 2023, two nurses on a trip to the Grand Canyon suddenly lost their lives. The young women were victims of an accident while they were spending an unforgettable vacation.
The dream vacation turned into a tragedy. Tatiana Brand, 30, and Raquel Moreira, 28, were two nurses. Originally from Portugal, the young women had moved to the UK where they worked at Southampton General Hospital. After years of preparation, they decided to treat yourself to an unforgettable holiday across the Atlantic, as reported by the Mirror.
Indeed, the two young women had organized a long trip across the United States. At the end of January 2023, they had also shared some videos in California, while they were happily visiting Hollywood and Universal Studios. However, two days later, their lives suddenly changed.
Tatiana Brand and Raquel Moreira died at the Grand Canyon
After visiting California, Tatiana Brand and Raquel Moreira decided to go to Arizona to discover the famous grand canyon park. If the change of scenery had to be guaranteed, the two young women were victims of a terrible road accident. While in the back of a car, they were hit by a bus. The accident happened on Route 64, when the driver of the vehicle was trying to turn around. If no victim was deplored in the bus, the two nurses are died instantly.
After the tragedy was announced, their colleagues insisted on pay homage to them. “The entire nursing family at Southampton University Hospital have been shocked and saddened by the tragic death of two much-loved colleagues while on holiday together in Americasaid head nurse Gail Byrne. She then clarified that Tatiana Brand had joined the facility seven years earlier and was working within the neurology department. For her part, Raquel Moreira was in the stroke service since five years.
