Uber and several other VTC applications today announced the signing of a historic agreement aimed at increasing transparency and strengthening the protection of independent drivers. This agreement is the result of constructive sectoral social dialogue and reflects companies’ commitment to balancing flexibility and workers’ rights.

But what are we talking about concretely? Drivers will have increased access to essential information regarding the operation of Uber-type platforms. They will also benefit from a better understanding of the criteria used to set ride prices and assign trips.

We know that many VTC drivers have been singled out for, in particular, having canceled trips at the last minute, plunging users into a certain embarrassment.
