Ubisoft Korea will close its doors at the end of the month – Gamosaurus

Ubisoft continues its restructuring program. And this time, it is the Korean offices of the French publisher which are impacted. Indeed, Ubisoft Korea will close its doors on April 30.

Founded in 2002, Ubisoft’s Korean offices have until now ensured the translation but also the marketing and distribution of the publisher’s games in South Korea. A task which will now be in the hands of subcontractors, probably less expensive than maintaining offices.

Ubisoft, however, assures that the elimination of its offices does not call into question its desire to be present in South Korea. After-sales service and customer support will also remain active. In summary, if the French publisher wishes to reduce expenses, it is not giving up on the Korean market.
