The Ubisoft + subscription service could soon be integrated directly into Xbox One and Series consoles, with a nice catalog of games to boot.
This case, pending for a few years, was brought back to the table after the discovery of data in the Xbox API and on the Microsoft Store.
The Microsoft Store still spills the beans?
As a reminder, Ubisoft + is a subscription service like it exists with other publishers, which allows access to the most complete versions of the French giant’s games, extensions included, as soon as they are released if necessary.
A potential partnership between Ubisoft and Xbox for the addition of its subscription service on Microsoft consoles is not new. A myriad of rumors to this effect have already been reported in the past. But while Ubisoft is clearly not in top form, things could take a more concrete turn.
A product identifier linked to the Ubisoft+ platform and endowed with the following description was indeed discovered on the Microsoft Store: “ Play more great games with Ubisoft+. This new data suggests that this integration could occur in the coming days.
64 bonus games?
To add even more credit to this find on the Microsoft Store, the site True Achievements, a specialist in the field, noticed a change to the least edifying on the Xbox API. Hidden on the latter is indeed a list of 64 games, whose secret label marks them as belonging to Ubisoft +.
The list in question includes most of Ubisoft’s iconic licenses such asAssassin’s Creed, far crygames stamped Tom Clancy or Watchdogs, among other publisher franchises. It remains to be seen at what price Ubisoft+ will be offered on Xbox consoles. As a reference, the monthly subscription on PC is displayed at 14.99 euros. There is currently no question for this premium service from the publisher to join the Game Pass. Will this maneuver help Ubisoft get its head out of the water in which it is starting to drown? Nothing is less sure.
