UFL: first exciting gameplay trailer for the free-to-play football game that wants to challenge FIFA and eFootball

If there is a year when a video game can make a name for itself, this is it. Fifa is increasingly criticized for its pricing policy aroundUltimate Team (even if it generates more and more money each year) and risks losing the name of the international federation in its title, and Konami totally missed his turn from ESP toward eFootball 2022. Last summer, we discovered the name of a potential competitor, UFLa free-to-play described as “fair-to-play”.

On the other hand, we had not seen any images of gameplay to give us an opinion, but the shooting is corrected thanks to an article published exclusively at IGNaccompanied many images and a trailer. While player faces may not be as accurate as in EAand again, technically, the title in development for almost 6 years on theUnrealEngine does not have much to envy to its adversaries. Strikerz Inc. also specifies that it is at the end of the creative process and that UFL will come out “when ready”, normally in 2022, on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

The experience will feature ranked and unranked modes, offline play, 2v2 and 3v3, and even special events. Its main mode, however, will be its league ranked online, with a system of matchmaking wanted as rightwhich will aim to elect a single UFL Champion at the end of the season, while the players ranked in Premier League compete in professional tournaments with rewards. A paid part will exist, but it has not yet been fully explained. The first visuals show cosmetic items to buy for your team and a TeamPass with exclusive content.

There will be over 5,000 real-life players modeled, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Kevin de Bruyne, Romelu Lukaku, Roberto Firmino and Oleksandr Zinchenkoand partnerships have already been signed with some clubs, including West Ham United, Sporting CP, Shakhtar Donetsk, Borussia Monchengladbach, Bayer Leverkusen, Besiktas, AS Monaco, Celtic, Rangers and Hashtag United FC. Enough to put a spoke in the wheels of the ogre Fifa ? To be continued…
