Game news UFL: FIFA’s new competitor invites players to meet!
The weather is not necessarily good for football simulations. FIFA 22 has been timidly received, the official license could be withdrawn from EA, and eFootball has moved to a free-to-play model which is far from convincing when it was released. But in the midst of it all, determined developers are about to take their chances.
After a long period of depression during which FIFA has clearly gained the upper hand over PES, the Konami license tried to renew while keeping a more simulation approach. But the delay, obviously too important, pushed Konami to change its tune. After a year of transition, the publisher tries the free-to-play bet, without success. eFootball 2022 is indeed one of the worst-received games in history on Steam.
UFL: A serious alternative to FIFA?
In other words, EA’s soccer game has no more competition. This may soon change, however, with the arrival of a new challenger on the market. The latter is called UFL, is developed by Strikerz Inc, and was presented during gamescom’s Opening Night Live, last August. If he is for the moment hard to imagine that the title will be able to work on the flowerbeds of FIFA before several years, it’s curious that the public expects news from UFL, which will also be free-to-play.
Indeed, since the announcement of the game, no gameplay image has been revealed. It is therefore difficult to get an idea of the approach chosen by the studio. Obviously, some players have been approached to represent UFL during the communication. Romelu Lukaku (Chelsea), Oleksandr Zinchenko (Manchester City) and Roberto Firmino (Liverpool) are the three ambassadors of the title.
