Cyber criminals replaced the websites of several Ukrainian ministries and services with threatening messages on Friday night. According to dpa, the sides of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Energy, the government and the emergency services were affected.
It should be a “worldwide attack”. At the moment, however, it remains unclear who is behind the website defacement. The Department of Energy announced that a police unit specializing in cybercrime had started the investigation.

According to Ukrainian media, the threatening messages were multilingual in Russian, Polish and Ukrainian. According to dpa, it said: “All data on the computer is destroyed, it is impossible to restore it.” It is not possible to say from the texts who is responsible for the attacks.
