According to Russia, it has tested an ICBM. The long-range ballistic weapon was successfully fired from a ground-based missile system in the southern region of Astrakhan on the Caspian Sea, the Defense Ministry said. The training warhead was later scheduled to hit a test site in the neighboring country of Kazakhstan in Central Asia, according to the statement – and further: “The goal was to test the promising combat equipment of ICBMs.” International observers repeatedly accuse Russia of building up military threats.

Russian hackers even tap into private security cameras in Ukrainian cafes in search of information, according to US information. This was to collect information about aid convoys passing in front of the cafes, says a US intelligence official. This is just one example of the ongoing Russian cyber attacks on Ukraine. The attacks would target “financial, government, individual and commercial areas,” NSA cybersecurity chief Rob Joyce said at a conference in Washington. The aim is to spy on and disrupt the processes in Ukraine.

In his evening speech, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy pointed out that the country is at a stage of war “when it is important for our society and our partners not to lose the sense of the path we have to overcome lose.” Compared to the previous year, it is currently quieter in many places, said Selenskyj according to his presidency. “But that doesn’t mean you can ignore the war anywhere or focus less on helping the state.”

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy received US businessman Howard Buffett at a meeting in Ukraine. This is the son of the famous investor Warren Buffett. During the meeting, the two discussed according to the Ukrainian Presidential Office among other things, the issue of support for humanitarian demining of the areas of Ukraine, especially the lands of the Kherson region.

On his current trip to North America, the Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Schmyhal has also attracted attention by decorating his government plane. The plane is adorned with several emojis, which, read together, are most likely to express thanks to Ukraine for fighter jets or the country’s requests for such. After landing in Canada, a photo showing the emojis was shared via Schmyhal’s Twitter account (pictured above, right). After the meeting with Trudeau, however, gun deliveries were primarily announced. The next step for Schmyhal is to go on to talks in the USA. Online media and users amused themselves with the emojis on the plane and the “subliminal” message.
