Ukrainian pro-Russian official shot and wounded

MOSCOW, Oct 27 (Reuters) – Former Ukrainian MP and pro-Russian official Oleg Tsarev is in intensive care after being shot, Russian news agencies reported on Friday, citing a pro-Russian administration official.

Vladimir Rogov, installed by Moscow in the Zaporizhia region, partly controlled by Russian forces, did not specify where the incident occurred.

According to sources interviewed by Reuters, Oleg Tsarev had been approached to lead a pro-Russian government in Kyiv at the start of the Russian army’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. (Maxim Rodionov, French version Jean-Stéphane Brosse , edited by Kate Entringer)
