Un Si Grand Soleil: “I couldn’t hold back my tears”… Aïssam Medhem talks about her last day of filming

Akim Alami will say goodbye to Montpellier in the episode broadcast this evening on France 2. Aïssam Medhem, his interpreter, spoke to Allociné about his last day of filming in Un si grand soleil.

Once again, it’s time to say goodbye in Un si grand soleil!

In the episode broadcast this evening on France 2, Akim (Aïssam Medhem) will leave Montpellier for the Paris region in order to follow training to become a police officer. An episode rich in emotions which will mark the end of Akim Alami’s story in Un si grand soleil.

It was during a telephone interview that Aïssam Medhem, his interpreter, spoke to Allociné about his last day of filming for the daily France 2 soap opera. A necessarily special moment for the actor .

“I COULD NOT HOLD MY TEARS”

It was very moving“, Aïssam Medhem told us before continuing, “The last day of filming is weird. I felt like I was in mourning. It might be too strong a word, but something special happened on set.“.

If his emotions oscillated between “euphoria” And “melancholy“, the actor has especially seen the last five years pass before his eyes.

On this subject, he explained to us: “I remembered myself at 22 years old with no experience because no one had given me a chance before Toma de Matteis. And I saw myself again five years later, knowing 95% of the people who were on the sets as if I were at home. I really saw this whole evolution again during this last day of filming. As if a part of my life had flashed before my eyes. It was pretty special.

This last day will therefore have been rich in emotions for Aïssam Medhem, to the point that he “couldn’t hold back her tears“.

It must be said that in addition, the interpreter of Akim filmed his very last scene with Clara Botte. “In addition to being an incredible partner and a crazy actress, Clara has become a great friend. Even if we didn’t say goodbye in life because we see each other again from time to time, the adventure ended there for both of us. It was strong“.

“THERE’S TOO MUCH”

When letting go of the character of Akim, Aïssam Medhem only has very good memories of his five years spent in the series. When asked what his favorite scene was, the actor above all remembers significant moments in Akim’s life.

I’m thinking of the first big shootout scene in season 1 with Naima Rodric which was extremely powerful to experience. Then when I shot the first scene on the roof with Nicolas Capus, director. He told me “put on some headphones, some music and have fun”. It was a scene in which Akim had to completely let go. There are too many in fact! When I went rock climbing with Maëlle Mietton it was amazing too. It’s too hard to choose (laughs) “.

See you this evening for the last steps of Aïssam Medhem in the shoes of Akim Alami.
