Saturday 1er January in Un si grand soleil…
MANU GETS PULLED OVER
After finding his scarf at Manu’s, Virgil made an appointment with Eve at the seaside. While he seeks to know how long they have taken him for a fool, Eve asserts that his story with Manu was not not premeditated and swears they intended to tell him about it. However, things have changed lately for Virgil who declares to still have feelings towards him. And to add that he had the feeling that she felt the same for him. Only, Eve thought that this page was definitively turned. After she has said that she is sincerely sorry for him, Virgil leaves, wishing him a happy new year.
During this time, Manu tries to reach his daughter but she still refuses to answer him. Laetitia tries to encourage him to listen to what he has to say to her but Camille, who never wants to see him again, doesn’t care.
Later, Eve contacts Manu to warn him that Virgil knows about their story. Even if he resents them terribly, Manu is sure that he will end up accepting their romance. Eve hopes so because she doesn’t want to have to choose between them.
At nightfall, Eliott calls his mother to wish her a Happy New Year. Happy to hear it, Eve takes this opportunity to tell him that she would like them to make peace for 2022 but the young man does not know. After hanging up, Eliott toasts to the New Year while looking at the stolen paintings.
Not far from there, the party is in full swing at the campsite. Depressed, Virgil decides to isolate himself in his trailer without knowing that Orsan is waiting for him. The three days having elapsed, the latter would like to obtain an answer concerning the paintings. As he still has not found them, Virgil tries to buy time by offering him a drink in order to recover his weapon. Unfortunately, Orsan is ahead of him.
At the same time, Manu, warned by one of his informants, arrives at the campsite. Seeing Orsan threatening Virgil, the policeman in turn takes out his gun and tells him not to move. The next moment, Orsan shoots for the first time. As a shootout breaks out, Manu takes a bullet and collapses.
MYRIAM LEARNS GOOD NEWS
Relations between Myriam and Gary are still strained. Learning that the young woman had managed to obtain an exclusive agreement with one of the suppliers in the region, the sales manager takes it badly. The tone quickly rises between them and Gary reminds her that it is thanks to him that she is here today. Angry, he even goes so far as to tell her that she thinks she is allowed anything because she knows that the boss appreciates her. Far from being taken down, Myriam retorts that there may be a reason for that.
Chez les Bastides, Élisabeth and Alain welcome their guests to celebrate the end of the year. During the evening, the businesswoman announces to Myriam that she intends to announce her appointment as deputy general manager the following week. If the young woman replies that it is still too early, Elisabeth is sure that she is made for this position. In addition, Arthur’s grandmother is tired and dreams of slackening off, relying on the support of a reliable person. As Myriam is afraid of attracting the wrath of her colleagues, Elisabeth says that the tensions will dissipate once her appointment is effective. And to clarify that it is time for her to admit that she is an extremely brilliant woman.
