Hélène leaves the gallery
At the police station, Yann informs Commissioner Becket that Christian Peyrac had sold Definod to three different people. If the commissioner hopes that one of them will agree to leave them a painting to have it appraised, Yann unfortunately explains to him that they all refused because it would not be in their interest to prove that they are false. In fact, collectors are afraid of never being able to resell them. A hard blow for Becker who gradually realizes that he will never be able to catch Alix.
Despite everything, he is far from having said his last word. He then calls Cécile to obtain a letter rogatory in order to seize a Definod to carry out the expertise. Although she understands his frustration, Judge Alphand reminds him that she cannot provide it without instruction. And for that, there would have to be a complaint or a disturbance of public order, which is not the case. In other words, they have no way to act at the moment.
Meanwhile, Alix pays Claudine’s fees and then thanks her. The latter then advises him to stop his nonsense. It must be said that Claudine knows full well that the paintings are fakes and that her friend could start this kind of scam again at any time.
Back at the gallery, Alix is annoyed because Mr. Leblanc has not left her a single diamond. For his part, Ulysses doesn’t care. For him, the main thing is that they are not sent to prison. When he suggests getting rid of the paintings, Alix prefers to put them in the archives.
At the same time, Alix receives a visit from Hélène who informs her of her wish to distance herself from the gallery. As she leaves, Hélène tells her how important she is to her and Alix makes her believe in return that it is reciprocal.
Eliott soon back in Montpellier
Ludo and Elodie intend to organize a sitting in front of the Fertilizer Plus premises, which Claudine strongly advises them against doing. Indeed, the lawyer fears that by blocking employees who work in the company, it will turn against them. She advises them instead to file a complaint with a civil party, which will save them from going through the prosecutor. And since the judge’s clerk is Doctor Cresson’s wife, this can only work in their favor.
Claudine and William therefore meet Cécile and Chloé to file a complaint. After the lawyer agreed to pay the €10,000 deposit, the complaint was filed. Without wasting time, Chloé and Cécile begin to go through the file.
At the farm, Élise and Elodie go for a horseback ride and stop in a place that Elise really likes. There, they take the opportunity to kiss. Not far from there, Cécile announces to prosecutor Bernier that William has filed a complaint with the constitution of a civil party. If the prosecutor hopes that she has reached the same conclusions as him, the judge tells him that she has carefully studied the documents in the file and that she is not at all of his opinion. This is why she asks him to review his position by requesting a preliminary investigation. She even gives him a few days to think about it.
Florent, Claudine and Johanna take stock of current affairs. When she informs them that the firm paid for the recording of William’s complaint, Florent reminds her that it is not up to them to bear the financial risks. However, Claudine is certain that they will win.
At the same time, Eve receives a call from Eliott. Since Manu will not be there, the French teacher confirms that she will be able to pick him up at the airport as agreed.
