Monday, August 21 in Un Si Grand Soleil…
Ronan is cleared
At the police station, Becker congratulates Elise and Yann for having succeeded in obtaining the confessions of the security guard. The latter explain to him that Stéphane Marolle, the victim of the fire, had worked on several construction sites supervised by Bressan. Knowing the situation of the victim who was homeless, he sometimes closed his eyes and let him sleep on the spot.
But Marolle had been fired from a previous construction site because he had been suspected of having stolen copper, and since then the security guard no longer trusted him. When he saw him arriving at the construction site, he asked him to leave. That’s when it escalated.
They came to blows and Bressan gave a torch to Marolle, who died instantly. The security guard then decided to hide the body. When Ronan started the fire, it was the perfect opportunity for Bressan to get rid of it. The latter was brought before the investigating judge and was charged with homicide.
François Laumière fears, however, that this story will reflect on the property. Claudine tries to reassure him. She is determined to find a solution to get Home F34 out of the turmoil.
At the courthouse, Judge Alphand informs Ronan that the homicide charges have been dropped. However, he remains indicted for the fire. Ronan is ready to assume the consequences of his actions now that his responsibility for Marolle’s death has been dismissed. Cécile therefore asks for the lifting of the detention, but he is forbidden to leave the region while awaiting the trial.
Ludo still in love with Noémie?
Ludo finds Alix at Les Sauvages. The latter gave him an appointment to ask him to be a witness at her wedding. He accepts with great pleasure. Ludo takes the opportunity to tell her that he is going to settle down with Margot.
Alix underlines his lack of enthusiasm and asks Ludo if he is still in love with Noémie. The young man admits that since she was single, he thinks a lot about her. Alix understands that Ludo is still in love with Noémie.
For his part, Manu does not understand Eve’s attitude since the announcement of Virgil’s marriage. Alex suggests that she might want to get married but she doesn’t dare tell him. But Manu has doubts.
At the marina, Virgil gives Tom his salary before he leaves. He tells her that he deducted the amount that the teenager scammed with the eco-tourism tax. Virgil also explains to him that he made him a little extension for the train. The teenager thanks him for everything he has done for him and his mother.
At the farm, Ludo has postponed all his equitherapy lessons in order to organize a horseback ride for Noémie and him, and thus change his mind. He confides in the young woman that he cannot bear to see her sad. Noémie lets herself be convinced.
Meanwhile, Margot tries to reach Ludo, but it goes straight to his answering machine. They were supposed to visit an apartment together but he forgot. She leaves him a message and asks him to call her back.
At the end of the day, Ludo finds Magot. He apologizes. He had put his phone on silent and had not seen his messages. Ludo explains to his companion that he went for a long walk with Noémie and that he didn’t see the time passing.
Tense, Margot explains to him that it is now too late to submit a file for the apartment. Ludo wants to be reassuring and assures him that they will find another accommodation. But Margot thinks he doesn’t want to live with her. Ludo doesn’t understand, he only missed one appointment. In his eyes, it’s not that bad. Margot, who wants to be alone, then asks Ludo to leave.
At the beach, Eve confides in Sabine and Mo. She and Virgile had a great love affair, and he never asked her to marry. She doesn’t understand why he proposed to Alix to marry him when they live a rather light relationship. Eve admits she’s a little upset.
For her part, Alix confides to Virgil that she offered Hélène to be his second witness because she scares him. Since then, Hélène has been harassing her by sending her photos of wedding dresses. Virgil does not understand his companion’s decision and finds it absurd. Alix reminds her that he was the one who had advised her to have Hélène closer to her so that she wouldn’t freak out.
Later that day, Manu asks Eve if she is angry with him for not proposing to him. The latter assures him that this is not the case and confides in him that his reaction is linked to a crisis of misplaced ego. She never wanted to get married, either to Virgil or anyone else. Eve makes it clear to Manu that she doesn’t need to marry him to love him.
