United States: Jill Biden tested positive for COVID-19


WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The first lady of the United States, Jill Biden, has tested positive for COVID-19, her communications director, Elizabeth Alexander, said on Tuesday.

After testing negative on Monday in a routine test, Jill Biden began developing flu-like symptoms late that evening. A PCR test proved positive, said his spokesperson.

US President Joe Biden tested negative on Tuesday, the White House announced.

Joe Biden had tested positive several times during July and early August, with mild symptoms.
