In the United States, the Covid-19 invites itself into Joe Biden’s team. After the diagnosis of several members of the presidential cabinet, the speaker of the House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, also tested positive this Thursday, April 7.
Her spokesperson, Drew Hammill, clarified on Twitter that she was asymptomatic. Aged 82, Nancy Pelosi, according to him, “was tested negative” for the first time, before receiving a second result, this time positive.
He adds that the Speaker of the House of Representatives is “fully vaccinated” and “grateful for the robust protection the vaccine has provided.”
She “will respect the quarantine, in accordance with the directives” of the health authorities and “encourage everyone to be vaccinated and tested”, writes Drew Hammill.
The Speaker will quarantine consistent with CDC guidance, and encourages everyone to get vaccinated, boosted and test regularly. (2/2)
