Announced in 2020, the Reflector Entertainment project, Unknown 9: Awakening finally seems to be nearing a release date. Indeed, if we are to believe the presentation of the title during the Xbox Partner conference, the action-adventure game should see the light of day in the summer of 2024. It will then be available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox one and Xbox Series.
Unknown 9: Awakening will put players in the shoes of Haroona, a Quaestor or Seeker of Truth who possesses a unique gift. The young woman benefits from a link with the Revers. This parallel dimension contains not only powerful energy but above all extremely precious lost knowledge. But if this knowledge could give birth to a true revolution of progress, it could above all lead humanity towards an inevitable end in the wrong hands.
Driven by revenge, Haroona will then undertake a real journey through this parallel dimension. And it may well be that its connection to the Reverse is the key to the survival of our entire existence. But she will also have to be careful of Ascendants who could lead us to disaster.
The gameplay presented shows us a little of what Haroona will be capable of in Unknown 9: Awakening. We can see it move or break people and objects from a distance. She will also be able to enter her opponents to take control of their bodies but also their minds. And it looks like she still has plenty of other powers at her disposal.
