The fitters who set up the 380-kilovolt overhead line for the Austrian Power Grid (APG) work at lofty heights. They are currently working on the controversial project in Eugendorf, hanging from the rope of a helicopter.
For years there have been discussions and protests against the project. The Salzburg line is important for the energy supply in Austria and is part of the heavy current ring. The many opponents of overhead lines have campaigned for an underground cable for years and have taken the legal route to the Supreme Court.
