The allegations against the Palestinian relief agency have shocked the United Nations. Israel’s ambassador sees the connection between UNRWA and Hamas only at the beginning. The organization, financed with millions from the West, has been spreading hate speech for decades, explains Prosor.

Israel’s ambassador to Germany, Ron Prosor, believes the ties between UNRWA staff and Hamas and its unprecedented attack on Israel are deeper than expected. “A dozen UNRWA employees took part in the kidnappings on October 7th – that is outrageous and yet only the tip of the iceberg,” Prosor told the “Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung” with a view to the hostages kidnapped by Hamas in the Gaza Strip. “In its current form, UNRWA is not part of the solution but an obstacle to peace,” Prosor added.

The UN relief organization for Palestinian refugees has been working “against its mandate” for years, explained Prosor. “It spreads hate speech and thwarts efforts for peace.” The ambassador welcomed the fact that the international community is “finally taking action and withholding funds” regarding its multi-million dollar aid payments to UNRWA. At the same time, however, he called for further-reaching consequences. “What we need now is a major investigation without blinders,” said Prosor.

The diplomat also told the “Tagesspiegel”: “UNRWA has been in cahoots with the terrorists for a long time.” There had already been a connection to the UN organization in previous Palestinian attacks. “The attackers of the Munich Olympic massacre in 1972 were already graduates of UNRWA schools,” explained Prosor. The alleged involvement of UNRWA employees in the kidnappings on October 7th is therefore not surprising.

Terror infrastructure in UN facilities

Twelve named UNRWA employees are suspected of being involved in the unprecedented attack on Israel by the radical Islamic group Hamas on October 7th. According to an Israeli dossier, a total of 190 unnamed UN employees are said to be members of the terrorist organizations Hamas or Islamic Jihad.

“Using intelligence information, documents and identification cards seized during the fighting, it is now possible to identify around 190 Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists working as UNRWA employees,” the dossier says. According to the report, Hamas is said to have “methodically and deliberately installed its terrorist infrastructure in a variety of UN facilities and assets,” including schools. Germany, the USA, Canada, Australia, Great Britain, Finland and Italy had suspended their aid payments as a result of the allegations.

According to Israeli information, the radical Islamic Palestinian organization killed around 1,140 people and kidnapped around 250 others as hostages in the Gaza Strip during its major attack on Israel on October 7th. Since then, Israel has taken massive military action in the Gaza Strip, with the declared aim of destroying Hamas.
