Graphics card prices continue to tumble, and now Nvidia itself has drastically reduced the prices for three flagship models.

The temporary end of the crypto boom (which is also sending the HNT price plummeting), the more relaxed pandemic situation worldwide and the reduced demand in view of the noticeable inflation – there are many reasons why hardware has become significantly cheaper again. In fact, Nvidia even seems to have problems updating their own reference versions (called
Founder’s Edition
) to bring to the people. There is no other way to explain the enormous price reductions of up to 570 euros.

The flagship models RTX 3090 TI, RTX 3090 and RTX 3080 TI are reduced, each in the Founders Edition. The absolute top model, the RTX 3090 TI, has been reduced from 1,899 euros to 1,329 euros – that’s a whole 570 euros. The RTX 3090 costs only 1,199 euros instead of 1,649 euros, a price reduction of 450 euros. However, this model is currently not available in the Nvidia shop. The RTX 3080 TI is “only” 110 euros cheaper, 1,089 euros instead of 1,199 euros.
However, the price reduction is not as huge as it seems at first glance. In fact, the term market adaptation is more appropriate, because many custom models from different manufacturers are already in this price segment – or are even cheaper:

Another reason for the lower prices is likely to be the upcoming launch of the RTX 4000 series. According to current rumours, the presentation could take place in October, just in time for the Christmas business. Selling off older models to free up storage for the next generation makes sense.
