Months after announcing Quick Replies, Google has finally rolled out support for quick replies to messages on Android Auto.
Late last year, Google unveiled a handful of new features for Android, including the introduction of quick replies to Android Auto, which was only announced as “coming soon”. So it took a little longer, but now the feature is finally being distributed.
Android Auto: These advantages bring the Quick Replies
Support for quick replies in Android Auto has finally started, at least if you’re using the latest beta version of the app (7.6.1215). For incoming messages that you have the Google Assistant read aloud to you, Android Auto now offers at least one suggested reply, which is usually between three words and an emoji.
There is also a “Custom Response” option above the suggestions that allows one to skip the response by voice. Currently there is no way to type a message on the infotainment center screen even when the vehicle is parked.
