Update Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin announced and dated on PS4 alongside the remastered first episode

Last month, during Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase, Capcom announced a remastered version of the 3DS game Monster Hunter Stories for PS4, Switch and PC (Steam). We had an appointment this Monday evening during the second day of the presentation Capcom Highlights to get news. Well, the only real new information concerning it was the announcement of its release date, set for Friday June 14, 2024. But a little surprise is also slipped in and should please the players PlayStationsince they will also be able to enjoy the sequel.

Indeed, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruinavailable since 2021 on Switch and PC, has it has also been ported to PS4 and will be released on June 14 on the latter. Suffice it to say that some people will have plenty to do this summer. Below is a description of the second episode if you’re not already familiar with it.

Players will also be able to take part in a new expedition with Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, the second installment in the turn-based RPG series. In the vast and dynamic world of Monster Hunter, players will follow in the footsteps of their grandfather Red, a legendary Rider, and ride Monsties with Ena, a Wyverian who has been entrusted with a Rathalos egg. This legendary monster possesses immense power capable of wreaking havoc if unfortunately its destructive abilities were unleashed. Players will be invited to test the strength of their bonds of friendship with the Monsties and discover the hidden truths behind ancient legends in Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin.

A special pack bringing together the two games will be marketed on all platformswhich will be released in physical edition, but not for everyone nor on the same consoles depending on the region according to the official sites (here And there). Here’s a recap, because it’s going to get crazy… The site of the second episode affirming that a physical edition Deluxe exists on Switch (which is not the case to our knowledge), we are not immune to errors.
