According to police sources, a dozen vehicles were set on fire for the night alone from Sunday to Monday and five people were arrested. By mimicry or solidarity, burning barricades were also set up in Rougemont, another district north of Sevran, and a bus was stolen and then burned in the neighboring town of Aulnay-sous-Bois.
