(Reuters) China’s aviation authority said Wednesday that US investigators from the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) confirmed they have not released any information about the China Eastern crash to the media. This was reported by the state newspaper Global Times.

WSJ and Reuters have reported, citing sources, that investigators into the March 21 crash of a China Eastern Airlines jet are investigating whether the crash resulted from a deliberate act on the flight deck.

No evidence of a technical malfunction was found. China’s civil aviation authority said it will maintain close communication with investigative authorities and release relevant information in a timely and accurate manner, according to the Global Times.
