Jamie Lynn Spears takes part in the US version of “Let’s Dance”. The little sister of pop star Britney Spears wants to donate her fee.
Britney Spears’ (41) younger sister Jamie Lynn Spears (32) will take part in the US version of “Let’s Dance”. The 32-year-old has that today unveiled on US breakfast television on the ABC channel. The singer and actress plans to donate her salary from the dance show “Dancing with the Stars” to the striking actors and screenwriters in Hollywood.
Jamie Lynn Spears: “I’m ready to challenge myself”
Spears’ participation in the 32nd season of the US dance format was announced on the morning show “Good Morning America”. Like “Dancing with the Stars”, it is broadcast by the US channel ABC. Asked if she was ready for the demanding challenge, Spears replied: “I don’t know if you can ever be 100 percent ready to take on something that big.” However, Britney Spears’ sister, who once became known through the Nickelodeon series “Zoey 101” (2004-2008), is ready to “challenge herself.”
According to Spears, she would like to donate her earnings to the striking actors and screenwriters in the US film industry. In this way, she wants to give something back to “her community” at a time “when they can’t give anything back to themselves.”
Spears will appear on “Dancing with the Stars” alongside professional dancer Alan Bersten (29). In addition to the singer and actress, reality TV star Ariana Madix (38) and US “Bachelorette” Charity Lawson (27) have already been confirmed as participants. Model Tyra Banks (49) will be leaving as presenter in season 32 and will be replaced by dancer and actress Julianne Hough (35). Former “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” star Alfonso Ribeiro (51) will continue to host the US dance show.
“Dancing with the Stars” is the American version of the British television show “Strictly Come Dancing”. The successful format has been running in Germany since 2006 under the title “Let’s Dance”.
