USA: Crude stocks up, those of gasoline down


(CercleFinance.com) – US crude oil reserves increased by 200,000 barrels last week to reach 430.6 million barrels, figures released Wednesday by the US Energy Information Agency (EIA) show.

Gasoline inventories fell by 2.4 million barrels, while those of distillate products, which include heating oil, fell by 2.9 million barrels during the week of September 23.

The refinery capacity utilization rate fell to 90.6% from 93.6% the previous week.

Crude prices increased further on the announcement of these figures, with US light crude currently rising 2.8% to 80.9 dollars.
