WASHINGTON, Sept 15 (Reuters) – U.S. jobless claims fell in the week to September 10 to 213,000 from a revised 218,000 the previous week, their lowest level since late May, the Department of Labor said on Thursday. Work.

Economists expected an average of 226,000 jobless claims.

Registrations for the week to September 3 have been revised down from an initial estimate of 222,000.

The four-week moving average stands at 224,000 against 232,000 (revised) the previous week.

However, the number of people regularly receiving benefits increased slightly to 1.403 million during the week of September 3 (last week for which these figures are available) against 1.401 million the previous week.
