A miracle happened. In the USA, a man (31) survived falling from a high-rise building. He falls 9 stories or around 30 meters, lands on the roof of a BMW, climbs down and is taken to the hospital by the ambulance. The incident took place on Wednesday morning in Jersey City, as reported by the New York Post. Christina Smith (21) happened to be there when it happened.
“I heard a loud bang and at first I didn’t think it was a person,” she told the newspaper. Then Smith sees the man climb off the roof of a BMW 330i and roll onto the ground next to it. “I just thought, ‘Oh my God!’ I was shocked. It was like being in a movie, ”says Smith, calling 911 immediately.
The man asks her what happened and Smith replies that he fell. He is holding his aching arm – but according to witnesses he wants to get up again immediately. But people around him tell him to lie down until the police and the ambulance come.
“He wanted to die, but God had something else in mind”
The man is said to have said again and again: “Leave me alone, I want to die.” A witness told the newspaper: “His plan was to die. But God had something else in mind. “
On Thursday he was in critical condition in the hospital, a spokeswoman for the city of Jersey announced.
The man did not work in the building and it was still unclear why he was there, writes the New York Post. He refused to give his name to the police. (gin)
