(CercleFinance.com) – US consumer confidence picked up in October, given the index calculated by the University of Michigan, which stands at 59.8 as a preliminary estimate for the current month, at compare to 58.6 at the end for September.
This increase, more significant than that expected by economists on average, is based on a much better assessment by households of current economic conditions, while their expectations for the future have on the contrary deteriorated.
