(CercleFinance.com) – Claims for unemployment benefits in the United States increased by 17,000 during the week of November 14, standing at 240,000 against 223,000 (revised figure) the previous week, according to weekly data from the Department of Labor .
Meanwhile, the four-week moving average rose 5,500 week-on-week to 226,750.
Finally, the number of people regularly receiving benefits increased by 48,000 to reach 1,551,000 during the week of 7 November.
