(CercleFinance.com) – Weekly jobless claims increased slightly the week of June 27 in the United States, standing at 235,000, against 231,000 (revised figure) the previous week, according to figures from the Department of Labor.

The four-week moving average – which can be considered a better indicator of the underlying trend in the labor market – came out very slightly up, at 232,500 against 231,750 a week earlier.

Finally, the number of people regularly receiving benefits rose to 1,375,000 during the week of June 20 (i.e. the last week for which these figures are available), which represents an increase of 51,000 compared to the revised figure. of the previous week.
