USA-Trump wants to prevent the FBI from analyzing the documents seized from his home


WASHINGTON, Aug 23 (Reuters) – Former U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday asked a federal court to temporarily stop the FBI from analyzing documents seized from his Florida home two weeks ago until a an expert to supervise the procedure.

In a motion filed with federal court in West Palm Beach, Florida, the former White House tenant also asked the US Department of Justice to provide him with more detailed information on the documents seized by investigators. from the FBI Mar-a-Lago on Aug. 8.

He also requested that any document or object not falling within the scope of the search warrant be returned to him.

The motion, stressing that policing cannot be used “as a weapon for political ends”, landed on the desk of Donald Trump-appointed District Judge Aileen Cannon.
