USA: widening trade deficit in September


(CercleFinance.com) – The United States trade deficit increased to 61.5 billion dollars in September, compared to that of 58.7 billion the previous month (which was revised from an estimate initial 58.3 billion), according to the Department of Commerce.

This 4.9% widening of the deficit from one month to the next reflects a 2.7% increase in imports of goods and services by the United States, to 322.7 billion dollars, therefore surpassing an increase of 2.2% of their exports, at 261.1 billion.
