With the Android Auto service, users can bring some of the phone’s functions to the car’s multimedia screen. So far they cannot use Android Auto in the Tesla. This should now be possible with an app from the Google Play Store.
As the technology blog XDA Developers reports, the application TeslAA streams the Android Auto interface to the screen in the Tesla.
Users load the app onto their cell phone and connect it to the car via Bluetooth. Then they should connect Tesla Wi-Fi to the phone’s hotspot and go to www.androidwheels.com with Tesla browser. The Android Auto interface should then appear on the screen.
Apparently the application is only available in the US at the moment. We will update the article as soon as it is available in the German Google Play Store.
