In the 58th Super Bowl on the night of Monday, February 12, 2024, the Kansas City Chiefs played against the San Francisco 49ers. In the halftime show, Usher, 45, provided entertainment at the stadium in Las Vegas. With musical support from, among others, Alicia Keys, 43, and Ludacris, 46, the “Yeah!” interpreter performed his greatest hits. However, his performance is not only well received online; some X users, formerly of Twitter, describe the show as “boring” or “underground”.

The singer still has reason to celebrate because, as an insider reveals, he is saying yes to his partner Jennifer Goicoechea, 39, after the final game of the football season in Las Vegas.

After the Super Bowl, Usher wants to marry his long-time partner

Stars like Jennifer Lopez, 54, and Kourtney Kardashian, 44, have already walked down the aisle in the so-called Sin City, and now Usher is apparently next. As “Daily Mail” now reports, the “Burn” interpreter and Jennifer Goicoechea are said to have received a marriage license on February 8th. The wedding will take place after the Super Bowl, a source tells the British publication. The couple will reportedly vow their eternal love to each other in an intimate ceremony attended only by close friends and family.

Second marriage for the musician

It is Usher’s second marriage: his previous wife is fashion designer Tameka Foster, 53, with whom he has sons Usher ‘Cinco’ Raymond V, 16, and Navid Ely, 15. The musician has been in a relationship with Jennifer Goicoechea since 2018; they are parents to daughter Sovereign Bo, 3, and son Sire Castrello, 2.
