In March 2020, Canal+ broadcast the first season of Validdrama series on French rap created by Franck Gastambide. Given the success of the latter, a second season had been ordered. While fans are eager to follow the adventures of William and Brahim, is a third season about to see the light of day? Guest on the set of It’s up to youFranck Gastambide said: “When a success is so big, it necessarily calls for a sequel and I have just discovered what the world of the series is! That is to say, spend three years doing just that, no longer being able to act, no longer being able to do anything else… Luckily it works like that and it became this little phenomenon, otherwise I would have been sad to have spent so much time on a project that didn’t work. It’s very vampiric! I write, I direct, I play… Obviously, I have a great team around me, but For now, I have to go do something else!“
In September 2021, it is in full promotion of the second season of Valid that Franck Gastambide had expressed his desire to take a break to complete his other projects. For Allocinatedhe explained:For now, the decision I have made is to take a break from Validated. I don’t want to enter into an obligation of planning, into a kind of antenna dictatorship where it is absolutely necessary to provide, because that’s how we are going to do something bad. I feel like we did something good and it would be a shame to spoil it. I spent three years of my life on Validé. I discovered what it is to work on a series. It’s very vampiric.”
Franck Gastambide: “I keep an eye on the rap game”
In all transparency, the actor had revealed during this interview: “It’s an incredible pleasure to work in the room with other authors, but at the same time during that time, you can’t do anything else. I had very little time to go do the acting and to work on other projects. I need to do other things. We had two great seasons. There, we will take our foot off. Everyone is going to do other things and I’m going to get down to writing my next film.“Finally, Franck Gastambide added:”I’m keeping an eye out for the rap game and anything that might fuel my imagination for a third season, so there’s no reason there shouldn’t be. But for now, we’re taking a break to come back with something strong, eventful and above all not disappointing.“
